Award to me for bad blog :(

I am so bad about my own blog.  I LOVE to read other blogs and I am trying to do better and even like things on my "friends" blogs.   I will post a few photos of things I have been up to.  I do enjoy painting and simple little quilts so a few photos . I have made a list of projects and I want to try chalkboard paint.  I painted the tall dresser for my daughter to keep at home.  Her set is at college.  This dresser came with the sideboard I got for my craft room.   I wish to be like Miss Mustard Seed but I am more like the preschool kid painting . lol

The sideboard I found on Craigslist.  I loved how big it was and thought I could fill with craft things.  It was big,brown and not pretty. I painted it white. I loved it,then I used minwax polycrylic.  I do not like how it came out.  this summer I will sand it and start over. Very sad...

A little quilt for Baby Emma.  My dear friend will be a first time Nana ( I think that will be her name or Grandma)  Baby Emma is so loved by so many people.  God put her with a great family. I can't wait to see her.

Pink Swap 2012

Today I got my box from my pink swap friend.  I loved everything and it's pink!  I  wanted a pretty shade of pink for my nails and Alison sent me muchi muchi by essie. Thanks so much for the great box. I can't wait to try it out.

Bow Tie

I helped my daughter make a few Bow Ties for her boyfriend for Christmas.  The first one was short.  We had a pattern but M.S .must have a friend with a skinny neck.  Hubby thought we were crazy.  The stuffed bunny looks cute. Photo of bunny to come later.  The next one came out nice and fits him.  I think High Cotton has one that looks just like it.  I have more to make but told her to order them and if I ever make any more it will just be a treat.

I want to see this movie.   The Lucky One from Nicholas Sparks' novel.  It looks like a sweet girl movie to see with my friends and my daughter.  My husband would watch it on dvd but not really his type of movie. That's ok though- I can plan a fun girls day .  I think it comes out this spring so I need a few more things for girls day.  Guess I should plan a few date nights as well. I need to work on that this year.  Happy Friday.

I am almost done with the painting in my craft room.  I like the color but the fabric I thought would be fun for curtains is not going to work.  I think I will go with a simple white or maybe find a soft pink.  I need to find a new light and fabric for the table skirt.  My sweet hubby helped me  find a buffet.  I want to paint it white.  It needs some work but I just love it.  I think this craft room looks fun. I love the hoops and the colors.  ClassyClutter.blogspot.com has a cute site.

Craft Room

I am going to paint the Room Monday.  I can't wait to work on this room so we can finally use the room.  The room has never been used for much.  Maybe a guest or two and then my wonderful hubby built a desk in the closet for the computer .  After we got laptops we went into the room very little.  My hubby even said we need a new light.   I will have to look .  Not sure what kind of light I want.  A sneak peak at the wall color

My Craft Room

I know I have not posted anything in a very long time but I am looking forward to 2012  and a new start.  I think I will work on before and after posts in my house.  Maybe even a few of myself.  I had lost some weight and it has found me.  I know I can take it back off.  I plan to follow the eat Clean plan.

My word last year was trust.  I knew this was the word for me but I kept thinking no- give me a different one please.  I learned so much and it really was the word I needed.  This year my word is Joy I prayed and it seemed like the word came easy but I know I will learn  and grow in more ways that I can think of.
